Brittany is a great model with style!  This event is… Fashion Has No Borders. Huge modeling talent on hand, including a few local celebrity models.

Not only did her guitar match her clothes, but she belted out the tunes with a lot of passion and character.

Grand Central Terminal

Even with low clouds and fog settling in, the “city that never sleeps” continues to move along even at three in the morning.

Street Dance

With a combination of music, dance, and gymnastics, this street performer and the rest of his team gathered the crowds…including some very young ones in carriages.

With overcast night skies, this perspective of Atlas at the Rockefeller Center seemed to extend into the clouds.

Brooklyn Bridge

Looking across the East River from Brooklyn to Manhattan, as the sun had already set.

Near the hub of Broadway, this seasoned tailor, works away mending the clothes of both celebrities and commoners.

Performance Rehersal

Underground passage way, located beneath this old down-town theater, makes for a secluded place to limber up the fingers.

Belly Laugh!

These Officers are wearing unique shoulder badges, indicating different Police Divisions.  There may have been some “jeering” going on as the other two were less than impressed as he let out a loud roar. Even his horse looked back and seemed to roll it’s eyes. :)

A Bird On The Hand, Is Worth Two…

Just a regular bunch of pigeons on a not-so regular bronze statue.

The Black Man…The White Man

Work shoes too large and attache case too small?…Who knows, as this kind Gentleman was concerned about neither.

Smiles

What can I say… Poochy and I never met, but he greeted me like a long lost friend. :) Comments welcome.

Hold Still For the Camera

Yard sale that I happened by while on a Inglewood Community photo walk.  The people holding the yard sale seemed to really be enjoying the day and passessers-by.  Comments welcome.

Twisted Steel

Fortunately, no-one was hurt and the operator of his heavy machine walked away unscathed. ;) Comments welcome.

Ate Dirt: Calgary Stampede Style

What can you say… sometimes the Bull just comes out ahead. Cowboy took the beating that was dished out on him, but he brushed off his chaps, smacked his felt hat and put it all behind him. Sometimes, we all need to just do the same. Comments welcome.

Picture Postcard Office

Joe is a Fire Lookout person. He and his wife Dale have been making Fire Lookouts their office and home during summers since the 1970s! Fire Lookout people like Joe and Dale serve a key role in the protection of life, property, and natural resources.

Little Girl – Big Horse

I was not sure who was more hesitant.. the little girl or the large draft horse. He stared at her for a few moments then took the grass out of her hand.

Biker Wave

A large insurgence of Harley riders came to Calgary recently. This biker acknowledged me taking his photo, and I like to think he meant it in the nicest possible way. :)

Princess

In the crowd and bustle of the festivities, this girl looked back as her mother took her arm. After providing a few seconds of verbal guidance, the mother was content and let her go. Comments welcome.

Near and Far

A few of us friends were out and about one evening and happened on this sunset scene with distant rocky mountains. We donated a lot of blood to the mosquitoes. :o Comments welcome.

Emanuela B. just-crossing the finish line at the Calgary Ironman 70.3 mile race this Sunday. Her exhuberance says it all. Racers “gave-their-all” and did a fantastic job! Comments welcome.

1929 Relived

This is Heritage Park in Calgary a few weeks ago. Comments welcome.

Wristwatch Macro

This is a typical Tag Heuer wristwatch close-up. I find it interesting to examine the macro-photography details of engineering after such a shot. Comments welcome.

Rascals

Their look was like they had just been caught being mischievous. :) Twin brothers in Kananaskis Country.  Comments welcome.

Almost everyone we know is pumped with the fine sportsmanship and fervor of World Cup Football! Up-and-coming energetic athletes give their all. Comments  Welcome.

Freedom

Today is July 1st and Canada Day! In 1867 Canada became an independant Nation with continuous close ties to the Commonwealth. I thought a good word to sum up Canada Day is “Freedom”, and I think Chad R. on his Harley expresses that. Comments Welcome.

Great Blue Heron

I grew-up in a north-central town in Alberta, Canada. The Great Blue Heron was and remains the town motto. Fantastic bird, and their annual migration ranges from northern parts of Canada to Mexico and the Caribbean. Comments Welcome.

Broken Bulb

This was a fun little challenge for me. I enjoy tinkering and decided that I needed to make this happen. I do not enjoy shopping, but hung out in my Grocer’s refrigerator isle reckoning between a white egg in my left hand, and brown egg in my right. You know the rest of the story. :) Comments welcome.

Tender Moment

This is another cutey-shot from my baby series in Portraits / Still Life. Having this opportunity struck really deep inside me. We had nice warm sunlight illumination, for a natural light setting. Comments welcome.

Husky Tower

Sunny days just feel great to head out with no photo objectives in mind. Not sure what happened to this gentleman’s finger, but he seems well-on-the-mend and obliged the Calgary Tower as backdrop. Nikkor 10.5mm Fish-eye. Comments welcome.

Little Swimmers

Using a bending-vise and blue-flame heat from a butane torch,  I was able to achieve the ”swimmy” spoons. My intent was to create a subtle scene to be appealing rather than appalling. Comments welcome.

In Daddy’s Hands

This was a tender scene, and special for me. The natural lighting and Baby’s arm positions helped create the composition I was looking for. Comments welcome!
