Northern Hawk Owl

With winter slowly coming to an end, Northern Hawk Owls such as this will soon fly north to their summer nesting areas.

Macro Photo: Electronics

Sometimes a commercial style shot has some artistic appeal to in. In this instance, a super close macro shot of a tiny computer board.

The Black Man…The White Man

Work shoes too large and attache case too small?…Who knows, as this kind Gentleman was concerned about neither.

Smiles

What can I say… Poochy and I never met, but he greeted me like a long lost friend. :) Comments welcome.

Fiesty Little Guy

Nothing runs past the alert eyes and ears of these efficient hunters. Short-Tailed Weasels, find prey and protection in the rocks and crags of the Canadian Rockies.  Comments welcome.

Mom!

It was fun to watch the interaction between this mother Grizzly and her cub. A male of the species wandered too close and there was quite a commotion! Comments welcome.

Sunny days just feel great to head out with no photo objectives in mind. Not sure what happened to this gentleman’s finger, but he seems well-on-the-mend and obliged the Calgary Tower as backdrop. Nikkor 10.5mm Fish-eye. Comments welcome.

“Stevie Wonder Cab!”

Sometimes motoring along, we catch something out of the corner of our eye. I parked and happily hiked back over/under the trains and tracks to find this rail-car. Truly impressive spray paint art! Recognizing… (more…)

Lime and Tonic

Went for a haircut today to my Barber. Leah and I were chatting about macro photography. So thought I would post a bright and bubbly photo given that our local weather is pretty drab… (more…)

Not The Right Spots

This was a bit of a whimsical macro scene. The apple had a sticker of a ladybug with 6 spots, whereas my little buddy had only 2. I imagined this scene as a bit of a cartoon where the girl 2-spotted ladybug came to break up with… (more…)
